The Delta HF Integrale was one of the most successful rally cars of the 1980s, firmly establishing itself as an iconic motorsport legend. On the back of these wins, the road cars had been very successful, and for 1993 Lancia updated the car with numerous cosmetic upgrades which included smaller and better headlights, high-backed Recaro seats and the addition of an adjustable rear wing amongst other small but significant mechanical changes, such as a new Garrett turbocharger.
