Strictly limited to 25 copies in large and small, this poster is a unique collector's edition of the 550 poster print. Using a beautiful and brilliant heritage blue, and a vintage inspired livery with the event branding, the composition is simple and bold.
The Porsche 550 was a bespoke racing sports car produced from 1953 until 1956. It had a mid-mounted air-cooled four-cylinder engine and only 90 Porsche 550s were ever produced, but it quickly established dominance in the 1.1 and 1.5 litre classes.
It has solid racing history; the first race it entered, the Nurburgring Eifel Race in May 1953, it won. The 550 Spyder would usually finish top 3 in its class. Each Spyder was designed and customised to be raced so featured the bare minimum of road car refinements.
Accurate and detailed, this print features unique attributes of the original car, but given a stylised and contemporary graphic treatment to look distinct and stylish on your wall.
